17 eyeshadow trio: Midnight Storm

I wasn't expecting this eyeshadow to be very good but I was very surprised. 

Product
There are no individual names for these eyeshadows but the overall trio is called 'Midnight Storm'. The pigmentation is really good from these eyeshadows. The pictures below have no primer and I only swatched them once. They are also very buildable if you want added intensity. The texture of these eyeshadows is also very soft and smooth. I expected them to be chalky but they are not in any way. There is also no fallout from these shadows which is great. I usually apply these with an eyeshadow brush which makes the application very smooth.

Longevity
I apply this eyeshadow in the morning and will usually get eight hours from the eyeshadow before any creasing occurs. Even when creasing does occur it is easily solved by smoothing out the creasing. I will always apply primer when I wear this eyeshadow.

Packaging
The packaging for this eyeshadow is very simple. It comes in a circular black container with the three compartments that contains the eyeshadow.

Price
It has been some time since I purchased this and therefore cannot remember the exact price. I think that it cost approximately €6.50. They are available from Boots.

Would I buy this again? Yes.

Makeup Look: Blue and Green

I decided to go for something a little more colourful for the next eye look. I was actually trying to achieve a different look when creating this but I liked when it turned out this way. 

How I created this look:

1. I applied Revlon's Vital Radiance Smoothing Eye Primer to my eye lids. 

2. Then I used the dark blue in 17 'Moody Blue' trio eyeshadow and applied it to my entire eyelid and slightly about the crease. 

3. Now I used the second darkest green shade in 17 'midnight storm' trio eyeshadow and blended it with the dark blue. 

4. Then I wanted to use a green with a frostier look so I used 17 solo eyeshadow in 'Green Glimmer'. I placed this in the inner corner and blended over the entire eyelid. 

5. I then placed some of the lightest green from the 17 'Midnight storm' trio eyeshadow under my brow bone. I blended this down to the crease. 

6. I was going to use black eyeliner but decided on something different and went with a gold gel eyeliner. I also decided to bring it all the way up to my eyebrow. 

7. Once I had applied the eyeliner, I then used Benefit's Bad Gal mascara to make my lashes look full and lengthened.

17 blusher: Plum Puff

17 blusher is described as a 'rosey cheeked to natural colour.' They also have a super soft micro-fine powder. They are dermatologically tested and fragrance free. I own three different shades of this blush. I will start with the shade Plum Puff.  

Product

Plum Puff is the darkest of the 17 blushers that I own.  There is great pigmentation from this blush. I use a regular blusher brush to apply this and swatch it across my cheeks. I have very pale skin so I use this very lightly as it is darker than I usually wear. However, if you have a darker or olive skin tone this would be perfect.  

There is a very soft texture to this blush.  It is, however, not a matt blush. There is a very very light shimmer. It is not an over powering shimmer when applied though.  

Longevity

This blusher lasts approximately six to eight hours.  I usually apply it in the morning when I put on the rest of my make-up and it will last me approximately six to eight hours.  I will sometimes have to reapply it, however this only happens on a rare occasion   

Packaging

17 blushers come in a small black round case with a removable lid. The only thing I would change about this is if the lid wasn't completely removable as it can be difficult to balance the container, lid and use a blusher brush if it has to be reapplied when out. This is not a major problem however. 

Price

It has been some time since I purchased this so I can't remember the exact price. I think it was approximately €5.50. It is available from Boots. 

Would I buy this product again? Yes.

17 Solo Eyeshadow

Product

These are eyeshadows from the Boots 17 range. They are very pigmented, even without the use of a primer. They are also very easy to apply and also to blend. They also mix very well with other brands of eyeshadows. As you can see from the pictures I have three of these. Green Glimmer which is a vibrant green colour that can be applied with a light hand for a nice light green to compliment other colours. It can also be applied more liberally to be the main colour. Beyond Bronze is a deep bronze brown colour. Finally the yellow colour which I don't actually have the proper name for as it has worn of the back of the eyeshadow. I have used this one a lot to mix with other colours and have also used it as a main colour a few times. As you can see it has been slightly damaged. All three eyeshadows have a very smooth texture.

Longevity

I love how long these last, even with out a primer. The swatches below are shown with out a primer. I find it takes a lot before these crease. I do prefer these to the Glitter eyeshadows that 17 offers.

Packaging

These eyeshadows come with very simple packaging. They are contained in a small black container with a removable  lid. The packaging is very sturdy. The only one of these eyeshadows that has broken is the yellow one.  That occured because I dropped it several times. So it survived all the initial times that I dropped it.  

Price

I purchased these in Boots but as it was a while ago I dont remember the exact price. I think it was between€4 to €5. They are available at Boots. 

Would I buy this product again? Yes. I will be buying some more of these eyeshadows as they have a great selection of colours.  

17 Glitter Eyeshadow

I've been meaning to review these for a while as I have some many of the 17 single eyeshadows. There's another review to come soon on 17 Solo eyeshadows.

These eyeshadows are from the 17 Glitter range. I ordered these online and received six eyeshadows. These are definitely 'glitter' eyeshadows. The moment that I opened the top of them the glitter was very obvious. These have a very smooth texture. I did find that they had fallout and because it was glittery I also found that it  spread over my face. This would be my only concern with using these as I usually have to use a small amount of makeup remover and a cotton pad to clean up the fall out under my eyes. It helps to apply the foundation afterwards, which I usually do so this wasn't a huge problem. The Glitter eyeshadows are also very pigmented which is great considering the price.

Longevity

I haven't used a primer in the swatches below that shows how pigmented they are. I usually use primer when I wear these eyeshadows. I applied these recently and they lasted about 6 hours before I noticed slight creasing on the lids. This was easily fixed by simply blendly out the creased area and the pigmentation remained the same.

Glitter Eye Shadow comes in a small black container with a removable lid. I like that these have a clear cover as I can see exactly which colour I am looking for.    

Price

I purchased these online at Camelliashop Cosmetics Wholesale UK. However on the Boots website they are £3.89. I think they are approximately €4 to €5 in stores.
