Michael Todd Powder Blush: Sugar Daddy

Michael Todd says that these 'powder blushes are triple-pigmented to provide perfect application each and every time'. This blush is definitely pigmented. The first time I applied this I looked ridiculous as I applied it with a very heavy hand. The second application was more successful. I lightly swiped the blusher brush over the powder and applied it. The texture of this powder is very soft which makes it easy to blend.  The one aspect I don't like about this blusher is that there is a bit too much glitter in it. It isn't terrible however I prefer blusher that give a more natural glow. It is still a good blusher, however.

Longevity
The longevity from this blush is really good. I will usually get approximately ten hours from this blush. This will sometimes be longer depending on what I am doing, for example, if I don't have a very busy day.

Packaging
This blush came in a purple cardboard style box. The blush powder is then stored in a hard plastic purple box with an insert tray that can be removed. The tray can then be added to a palette or left as an individual eyeshadow.

Price
I ordered this online at Love make-up and paid £2.99 for it. It is also available at Michael Todd online.

Would I buy this again? No I wouldn't buy this shade again however I would purchase a different blush from this range. Everything was perfect expect I didn't like the amount of shimmer.

Benefit Georgia Blusher

Benefit describes that blush as 'Our just peachy face powder leaves your complexion warm and vibrant. Georgia is a dream...it's peaches and cream!' Georgia blush is a pale yet warm-toned peachy powder. Georgia blush does feel a little powdery in texture, as opposed to a perfectly smooth blusher.  I usually apply this using a blusher brush and I have also used it with a stippling brush. I have that there is a more natural look using a blusher brush. The pigmentation on this is sheer. Although the product is sheer I find that it is still buildable.  It will suit people with paler skin tones. I have pale skin so this product works well for me and it gives me a healthy glow with a subtle shimmer. It would be considered a sheer blusher for those with light to medium skin tones. If you have darker skin then it might be best to use this as a highlighter.

Longevity
This product may be sheer it however does have good longevity. I will usually apply this at approximately eight in the morning and it will last until about six in the evening, so approximately ten hours. There are some days that I will have to reapply but that is not very often.

Packaging
Like all Benefit blushes, this comes in a pretty powder box. This particular blush comes in a peachy coloured box with a peach and a green leaf on the front. There is also a blusher brush included. There is ....provided.

Price
I purchased this some time ago so can't remember the exact price but I think it was approximately €33. Since I have purchased this product it has been discontinued.

Would I buy  this again? Yes. However as it is no longer available this will not be an option.

Elf blush and bronzer

Another Elf product, this time it's a blush and bronzer compact. 

Product

This product is meant to 'create a healthy and natural glow all year round. The blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of colour, while the bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition.' 

I'll start with the blush in this compact. The blusher is a peachy shimmer and it is very pigmented. It isn't an overly bright blush. When I first applied this it was very dark and also hard to blend. The next time that I applied it I used less and it was easier to blend, although still difficult, and it also had a nice appearance. It also looked more natural. 

The bronzer is a very brown shimmery bronzing powder. The bronzer is also very pigmented, however it is not very natural looking when applied. If you have fair skin then this will not work. I have very fair skin and this shade is way too dark. I found that this bronzer looked almost muddy, it didn't brighten up my face but made it look darker and unhealthy. The bronzer was also difficult to blend. 

Longevity

Although these are very dark and difficult to blend, the one redeeming factor is that both the blusher and bronzer both have great longevity. They lasted approximately eight to ten hours.   

Packaging

I do like the packaging of this product. It is very sleek and also very durable. There is 0.28oz or 8g of product provided. I was surprised when I saw this as this is large the compact was although still not clumsy. It is easy to travel with and will fit comfortably in a handbag. 

Price
This costs €4.00, which is great from a blusher and bronzer. It is available from Elf.

Would I buy this again? No.

Penny's Blush and Bronzer Duo

Penny's/Primark was never a place that I would have associated with make-up products. So when I purchased this blush and bronzer duo I didn't have very high expectations.  When I saw the blush and bronzer in the box I knew that it reminded me of something and it turned out it did...Benefit's bronzing and highlighting face powder duo.  

Product

This is a light shimmery blush and bronzer duo.  The blush in this duo gives a really nice soft pink glow. The bronzer in this is obviously darker than the blush but it is still light. 

Even though they are lightly coloured they still have good pigmentation and also a very soft texture.  I did at first expect that it would have a chalky feel but it really doesn't.  

It is also very easy to apply. I use a blusher brush and sweep it over my cheeks.  I have applied this in a variety of ways. I have used the blush and bronzer separately and I have also swirled the brush into both the blush and bronzer to create a darker pink toned colour. This can be seen in the last picture.

The brush that comes with the product is not good at all. It's too small to work with and it is also makes it very difficult to blend using the brush provided.  

Longevity

This product does fade away a little over time. I will usually get four or five hours from this and will need to reapply it. This can obviously be a little annoying something, however I love the colour from the blush so I am willing to do this.  

Packaging

The packaging on the product isn't terrible considering the price. It doesn't however look very expensive. It consists of a small pink box with the blush and bronzer inside and the lid fits onto the top.

This blush costs €3.00 and is available in Penny's/Primark stores which carry their makeup range. 

Would I buy this product again? Yes. Since purchasing the first one I have bought another. 

17 blusher: Plum Puff

17 blusher is described as a 'rosey cheeked to natural colour.' They also have a super soft micro-fine powder. They are dermatologically tested and fragrance free. I own three different shades of this blush. I will start with the shade Plum Puff.  

Product

Plum Puff is the darkest of the 17 blushers that I own.  There is great pigmentation from this blush. I use a regular blusher brush to apply this and swatch it across my cheeks. I have very pale skin so I use this very lightly as it is darker than I usually wear. However, if you have a darker or olive skin tone this would be perfect.  

There is a very soft texture to this blush.  It is, however, not a matt blush. There is a very very light shimmer. It is not an over powering shimmer when applied though.  

Longevity

This blusher lasts approximately six to eight hours.  I usually apply it in the morning when I put on the rest of my make-up and it will last me approximately six to eight hours.  I will sometimes have to reapply it, however this only happens on a rare occasion   

Packaging

17 blushers come in a small black round case with a removable lid. The only thing I would change about this is if the lid wasn't completely removable as it can be difficult to balance the container, lid and use a blusher brush if it has to be reapplied when out. This is not a major problem however. 

Price

It has been some time since I purchased this so I can't remember the exact price. I think it was approximately €5.50. It is available from Boots. 

Would I buy this product again? Yes.

I recently made an order to ELF UK and I'm excited about what I ordered as I have wanted these products for a long time. I will of course be reviewing them once I have received and used them.   I ordered six different products.  I hope them arrive quickly...like they usually do!
