Elf total face brush

This is another Elf product. It's the Elf Total Face Brush, from the budget range of brushes.
Product
As the name suggests this is a brush for applying powder all over the face. It has a very large top and therefore it is great for dispensing product evenly over the face. It has very soft bristles and therefore feels very soft to touch. It picks up a lot of product so I would recommend removing the excess product before applying it.

The only problem that I would have with this product is that their is a large amount of dye on the bristles. Even when I wash it now, and I have it for over a year, the dye still runs. It doesn't happen when I use cold water.
Packaging
The packaging is very simple. It comes in a clear plastic pocket that can be sealed again if you want to use it for travelling. There is also a brush cover over the bristles.
Price
The price is ridiculously good. It was only €1.50.

Would I buy this again? Yes

Elf Shimmering Facial Whip: Spotlight

Elf's shimmering facial whips are great highlights for those who want a highlighter on a budget. I have four different shades of the shimmering facial whips.
Product
Elf shimmering facial whips are a multi purpose product. While many of the facials whips are similar I did see slight differences in the four that I have and hence I will review them individually.
Spotlight is a white shimmer facial whip. It contains vitamin B, C and E which is meant to brighten and sooth skin and also ensure that there is no greasy or oily feeling after it is applied. I can agree that there is no oily feeling from this when it is applied.  There is a really nice smell from Spotlight, it has a light orange scent.
When appling this product I would recommend that only a small amount is used. I remember when I applied it first I used far too much and it was difficult to apply and blend. Afterwards, I used a small amount and it worked perfectly. I applied it to my cheeks and it gave an instantly glowly look. It acted as a great  highlighter and didn't look fake. I have also used it under my eyebrow bone to highlight that area. For Spotlight, I find that I have to shake the bottle as it can come out too liquid to apply it, I don't have to do this with any other shimmering facial whip that I own. It works perfectly afterwards.
Longevity
I will apply this over my foundation and sometimes powder and it will always last as long as my foundation stays on. Therefore, it could last for approximately eight to ten hours.
Packaging
The packaging for this product is very convenient. It comes in a small tube that can be squeezed for the product to come out. This is great because it can be used when you have no other products available, i.e. a brush.  There is 0.34oz or 9.5g of product in this tube.
Price
This product costs €1.70 and is available from Elf

Would I buy this again? Yes. I have purchased four of these whips and will be buying this shade again.

Elf blush and bronzer

Another Elf product, this time it's a blush and bronzer compact.
Product
This product is meant to 'create a healthy and natural glow all year round. The blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of colour, while the bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition.'

I'll start with the blush in this compact. The blusher is a peachy shimmer and it is very pigmented. It isn't an overly bright blush. When I first applied this it was very dark and also hard to blend. The next time that I applied it I used less and it was easier to blend, although still difficult, and it also had a nice appearance. It also looked more natural.

The bronzer is a very brown shimmery bronzing powder. The bronzer is also very pigmented, however it is not very natural looking when applied. If you have fair skin then this will not work. I have very fair skin and this shade is way too dark. I found that this bronzer looked almost muddy, it didn't brighten up my face but made it look darker and unhealthy. The bronzer was also difficult to blend.

Longevity
Although these are very dark and difficult to blend, the one redeeming factor is that both the blusher and bronzer both have great longevity. They lasted approximately eight to ten hours.

Packaging
I do like the packaging of this product. It is very sleek and also very durable. There is 0.28oz or 8g of product provided. I was surprised when I saw this as this is large the compact was although still not clumsy. It is easy to travel with and will fit comfortably in a handbag.

Price
This costs €4.00, which is great from a blusher and bronzer. It is available from Elf.

Would I buy this again? No.

Elf Cool Bronzer

Product
Elf's cool bronzer is described as 'the ideal selection of matte colours to achieve a natural looking tan. Ideal for winter or year-round'. Oh natural tan...if only it was created using this bronzer. I had such great hopes for this since it was a matte product and I thought it would be prefect to use on my face. I knew when I opened this that it was darker than I had expected. When I dusted this on my face that was confirmed, it was far too dark. I have very pale skin so perhaps this would suit someone with a warmer skin tone. It appears that there are a lot of red undertones in this product. Thereby making it too dark for my skin tone. It is, however, very pigmented.

The bronzer is separated into four colours which can be used together, separately or mixed to a colour that suits you. I tried all of these ways to apply and it was still too dark to apply to my face.

I did also try this as a body bronzer and had more success. I used a very large body brush and applied this to my arms and décolleté. It doesn't appear as dark on these areas as I used a larger brush and it was easier to blend the product.

Longevity
Even though I didn't particularly like the look of this on my face and it was dark, for the sake of reviewing I left in on my face. I did last all day. I applied it in the morning and it was still visible ten hours later.

Packaging
This bronzer comes in a sleek black plastic packaging with a very large mirror on the cover. There is also a lot of product provided: 0.4585oz or 13g. The product is also firmly pressed.
Price
This bronzer costs €4.00 and it available from Elf.

Elf nail polish: Purple Pleaser

I have purchased a number of Elf's nail polishes and of the most part they are great.
Product
Purple Pleaser has a glossy finish however is free from any form of shimmer. I find that the first coat of this polish can be sheer so I usually apply two costs to achieve the result I want.  The first coat of this dries very quickly and the second coat also dries quickly.
I also like that the formula of this nail polish doesn't get thick and the brush applies in smoothly and without any thickness on the nails.

Longevity
I was  very surprised as to how long this lasts. I can usually wear this for four to five days before I will see the top of the nail polish chipping.  I usually only apply a base coat with this polish and I dont use a top cost as I like the finish that this polish provides.

Packaging
This nail polish comes in a small black box. I think this is nice considering the price and many expensive brands don't come like this. The bottle is a rectangular shape with 10ml or .35oz of product inside.
Price
These are very inexpensive. I paid €1.70 for this nail polish. They are only available online at ELF. They also have really good offers if you like their Facebook page.

Would I buy this again? Yes. I am currently loving purple nail polish and have use a lot of this bottle. So I will be ordering more of this when I make another order.

Elf High Definition Powder

I mentioned this product a few weeks ago when I purchased it.

Product
Elf's High Definition powder is described as a 'high definition loose powder' that 'creates a soft focus effect to the skin.' It claims to 'mask fine lines and imperfections for a radiant complexion. The incredibly soft and invisible powder is great for on-screen and  everyday wear.' This is a very fine and white powder. There are only two ingredients in this HD powder, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer and Silica. Dimethicone is a type of silicone and this is used in face primers. It makes skin feel and look smooth. The second ingredient, silica, is a mineral that absorbs oil to prevent skin from looking shiny and keeps make-up fresh for longer.

This powder comes with a powder puff that I don't use. It is good, however, for keeping the powder in the container when not in use as it will come through the holes very quickly and can get messy. I use either a large powder brush or a stippling brush. I apply this on top of my concealer and foundation. I will also tap any excess powder off the brush. I will lightly buff the powder onto my face. Although the powder is white it doesn't show up this colour when applied. It instantly gives my skin a brighter and softer appearance.

I don't apply any liquid products over this powder, i.e a liquid highlighter. I have applied it under the powder and it has worked fine. Also, when this powder is used on it's own I don't see any improvement to skin tone and it doesn't cover blemishes.

Longevity
The longevity from this product is great. I have applied this in the morning and can wear it all day and it will still look perfect in the evening, this can be ten to twelve hours later. Obviously if this is applied over a bad foundation the results won't be as good.

Packaging
Elf's High Definition powder comes in a black cardboard box. The powder is then stored in a chunky, solid square container with a lid that screws off. There is also a powder puff applicator provided. The area containing the product is very deep, which is necessary as this powder can go everywhere if not covered. I did find that the holes in the sieve are too large and can let out too much product. Therefore I covered half of the sieve. It lets out less of the product which makes application easier. This can be too large to carry in your bag which is the only fault I have with the product. There is 0.28oz or 8g of product provided.

Price
This product costs €6.80 and it is available from Elf

Elf single eyeshadow: Pink Ice

Product
Pick Ice is not actually pink despite what that name suggests. I believed when I was purchasing this that it was a cool pale pink however it is more of a champagne colour. It does have very light particles of gold shimmer. This is a great colour for neutral looks. The eyeshadow is not very tightly packed into the container and therefore there can be some excess on the brush. I usually remove any excess before I apply it and this prevents any fallout. There is a soft texture to this eyeshadow.
Longevity
I will always use an eye primer with this eyeshadow and that can make it last for approximately eight hours.
Packaging
This eyeshadow comes in a small cardboard style box with the eyeshadow visible. When removed the eyeshadow is in a small silver circular container. This is then placed within an Elf 4-pan container.
Price
This eyeshadow cost €1.70 and is available from Elf

Would I buy this again? Yes.
