I always have a few make-up products in my bag that I feel will help with most make-up related problems. My usual make-up bag is huge but I can't carry that around everyday so this is the most convenient option.
I have a hairbrush for the obvious reasons. With long hair it always gets tangled so I probably use this the most out of everything in my makeup bag.
I use the powder to reduce any lines or oiliness and it also has a mirror so it’s very convenient.
The Nivea cream it excellent because I can use it for my hands, face, etc
Next, I have concealer which is great for long days or if eyeshadow or eyeliner moves under my eyes and makes a mess. It cleans up the problem and covers dark cirles.
The lipgloss is great for any dry lips or when I don’t have time to apply a lipstick.
I don’t usually keep expensive products in this make-up bag in case they get broken or stolen. This way I won’t be disappointed if I loose anything.
What do you take with you during the day?

Hair tutorial: Low side pony tail.
This is the first look or tutorial that I am doing relating to hair. I usually leave my hair down but have recently started to try different things with it.
When I wash my hair I apply a leave in conditioner and a hair mousse to give volume. This may affect the way a look turns out depending on your hair type.
I started by brushing my hair and pulling it all to one side. I pulled it to the right side as this is the side my fringe is at but either side will work.
Once I had pulled my hair to one side, I tided it with a band. I then used a comb to create a messier look by taking smaller strands of my hair out of the band.
Once I had finished this, I took a long strand of hair from the inside of the ponytail to wind around the band. When I had put all of the strand of hair around the band I used a hair grip to secure the hair. I placed it on the inside so that it was not noticeable.
I lightly backcombed the top of my hair to add more volume. I then used hair spray on all of my hair to secure it.
What do you think?

Boots Oily Hair Expert Shampoo
Product
I have oily hair so when I saw this I though it would be brilliant and had really great expectations of what it would be. However, this was not what I felt once I had used it, I will explain why in a moment.
Boots describe this as being 'formulated to break down excess oil and remove build up of excess sebum'. I found that from using this product it increased oil and created more sebum. It made my hair very hard to work with and was impossible to get any volume into my hair. I usually try to create volume as I have hair that can become flat.
I used this instead of my normal shampoo and used nothing else when I first used it so I would see the full effects of the shampoo. When I did this I found that my hair was flat and dull. I tried it again and this time used conditioner on the ends of my hair, which I usually do, and the result was as terrible as the first time. I will not be using it again.
Packaging
This shampoo comes in a pale yellow plastic bottle and there is 200ml provided. The lid does not come off and instead has a lid that you press to create an opening for the product to come out.
PriceI paid €5.00 for this shampoo and it is available from Boots. I purchased it in Boots in Galway City centre although I know it is not available in all Boots pharmacies as I have not seen it in some others.
Would I buy this again? No.

Revlon Professional: Equave 2 phase
Ah hair products. I think no matter what hair style you have there is always an endless quest to find the right products. This product is from the Revlon Professional range. It the Equave2phase hydro nutritive conditioner.
This conditioner claims to 'Treat simultaneously the internal and external parts of the hair. Nourishes, moisturizes and reinforces the structure of the hair fiber. Smoothes, softens, untangles and enhances the hair without adding weight'.
This is a picture of the bottle when it has been shaken before use. Before I shake it the formula is divided into two parts and once shaken the product mixes together.

This Instant hydro nutritive leave-in conditioner is for dry or damaged hair. These are both problems that I have with my hair. It often gets damaged from the use of hair dryers, hair straighteners, hair curlers and also daily damage. Also while the roots of my hair are oily, the ends can become very dry. After discussing this problem with my hairdresser, she recommended that I try this product.
I apply this leave in conditioner to my hair in two ways. Firstly, when I wash my hair I lightly towel dry it and then spray it onto my hair after I have combed it. I feel that this prepares it for the use of the hair dryer. The second way that I use this is on dry hair. If I feel that my hair has gotten dry or it is stressed from the day I will apply it to my hair to condition and soften it.
I also like that this product doesn't make the roots of my hair extra oily. Even though I don't spray it on the top section, this has happened before when I use a product on the ends.

I forgot to take a picture of my hair before I started using this product, however this is one from having been using it for approximately two weeks. This is towards the end of my hair and it now appears less dry and broken.
This product cost me approximately €14 and I will be purchasing it again.

Boots Coconut & Almond Intensive Hair Mask
After trying the Boots Honey & Jojoba Intensive Hair Mask, I wanted to try another hair mask, so I decided on the Boots Coconut & Almond Intensive Hair Mask.

The thing that I like most about this product is the great smell that it leaves on you hair after you use it. I get more of a coconut smell that I do of almond, which is fine with me as I love the smell of coconut products.
This hair mask is for normal to dry hair. I use this on the ends of my hair as that is the driest area of my hair. This is a great to product, that left my hair feeling very smooth and healthy looking.

I used about a teaspoon sized amount of this product on my hair, I have long hair, therefore shorter hair will require less, also depending on how dry the hair is.
The coconut and almond intensive hair mask costs €2.99 for 350ml. I purchased this in store, however it is also available at Boots online.

Boots Honey & Jojoba Intensive Hair Mask
I had been looking for a hair mask for a long time and had tried many before I found this one. If I'm honest, I wasn't expecting much from this product as I had previously tried some Boots hair products and I had not liked them.

This is a very creamy smooth hair product. It also as a very light creamy colour, as can be seen in the photograph.
There is a great smell from this product, that actually lasts on the hair. It has a very mild smell of the honey and Jojoba.
This hair mask is for dry damaged hair. My hair has very dry ends which is also often damaged from use of heated hair products, such as a hair drier, hair straightener and hair curler. I used this product every two days for a week, when I initially purchased it and I saw improvement in my hair after a week. I applied it to the ends of my hair and left it in for approximately 3 minutes. It says 5 minutes on the container, however I find that 3 minutes is enough because I have very oily roots these products can sometimes affect that. Therefore, 3 minutes is sufficient. I now use this approximately once a week depending on the condition of my hair.

I use about a teaspoon of this product and I have long hair so therefore less would be required for shorter hair. Even with long hair this product last for ages.
I paid €2.99 for this product which contains 350ml.
Would I buy this product again? Yes
