Michael Todd Frosted Eye Shadow: Underground

Product
Underground is a great eyeshadow for a smokey eye look. The pigmentation is strong and it can be blended excellently for a smokey eye. If you want to use it for a more subtle look then a small amount can be applied for a more grey look. The texture is very smooth and soft. I apply this using an hard eyeshadow brush and then blend out using a soft eyeshadow brush, I feel that this works best to reduce any fallout.
Longevity
The longevity from this eyeshadow is great. I can wear it for up to ten hours without any creasing occurring. I will always wear a primer with this eyeshadow, however the swatch below doesn't have any primer underneath.

Packaging
This eyeshadow came in a nice purple cardboard box. The eyeshadow itself comes in a very hard plastic box with a removable grey insert that holds the eyeshadow. It can also be transferred into a palette.
Price
I purchased this from Love-makeup when they were having a sale on Michael Todd cosmetics. I paid £2.50 or €2.85 for this eyeshadow. They usually cost more.

Michael Todd Creme Eyeshadow: Flutter

Product
This is a champagne shade creme  eyeshadow which also contains gold shimmer. It's very creamy and also very easy to apply. I have used both an eyeshadow brush and also using an eyeshadow applicator. It think it depends on the look that you want to create to decide on which applicator works best for this eyeshadow. This blends very well but can sometimes loose pigmentation if it is overly blended. Otherwise the pigmentation is good. This is also a very good highlighter.

Longevity
I can usually wear this for approximately eight hours. Some creasing will occur if it is on the crease of my eye but that is usually easily resolved. If used as a highlighter on the brow bone then creasing is not a problem.

Packaging
This creme eyeshadow comes in a cardboard style purple box and there is a bubble wrap packaging securing the eyeshadow inside the box. The creme eyeshadow then comes in a clear round glass container with a black plastic removable lid.

Price
I purchased this from Love-makeup when they were having a sale on Michael Todd cosmetics. I paid £2.50 or €2.85 for this eyeshadow. They usually cost more.

Makeup Look: Nearly Purple

I have recently started back at college to do my masters so with nine o clock starts, my morning make-up has become a lot simpler. To create this look I used Natural Collection in Blackcurrant/Violet.
How I created this look:

1. I applied Urban Decay primer potion to prime my eyelids.
 2. Next, I applied the lighter of the two purple colours from my eyelid to slightly above the crease of my eyelid.
 3. Now I applied the darker purple to my eyelid and then blended both the colours on the crease.
4. Finally I applied NYX doll eye mascara to finish the look.
This is a very simple look and very useful for when you may be in a hurry.

Michael Todd Frosted Eye Shadow: Pleasure

Product
The first thing that I noticed about this eyeshadow was how much glitter and shimmer it contained. I had not expected it to be that shimmery when I saw it online as the  picture or description did not indicate this. There is good pigmentation from this eyeshadow and it is easy to blend. The texture is also very smooth and not chalky. I apply this using an eyeshadow brush and it works perfectly. This can be applied lightly for a day time look or if the intensity is increased then it can be worn as part of a night time look.

Longevity

An eyeshadow primer is needed with this eyeshadow, I have not used on in the swatch below. I can usually wear this for eight hours. If any creasing does occur it is easily solved using an eyeshadow brush.

Would I buy this again? No, not there was anything wrong with the eyeshadow I just don't think I will use this colour that much.

Michael Todd Frosted Eye Shadow: Marshmallow

Product
This is a great matte eyeshadow. It is great for highlighting my eyes and also in the corner of my eyes to open up my eyes if I am wearing a smokey look. It is also very easy to blend and they are not chalky, which I had expected. It is a very wearable colour. I apply these using an eyeshadow brush and they work well with both hard and soft eyeshadow brushes.

Longevity
The longevity from these eyeshadows is good but an eyeshadow primer is needed. If any creasing does occur it is very easily solved. I also usually use this to highlight so creasing isn't very often an issue for me.

This eyeshadow came in a nice purple cardboard box. The eyeshadow itself comes in a very hard plastic box with a removable grey insert that holds the eyeshadow. It can also be transferred into a palette.

Makeup Look: Plumtastic

This is another look created with the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I would consider this a good look for day time or if you prefer something neutral. I used mainly the purple and plum colours. Although the colours appear more brown in the pictures for some reason.
How I created this look:

1. I primed my eyes from lid to brow bone.

2. I then applied 'Toasted' on to the entire eyelid. I blended it in to make it appear more natural and soft.
3. Next I applied 'Hustle' to the crease and blended it with 'Toasted'. I wanted the colours to be very blended and very soft.

4. I applied 'Virgin' just above where 'Hustle' ended all the way to my brow bone to highlight the area.
5. I finally applied NYX doll eye mascara to my top and bottom lashes.
I wanted to keep this look very simple therefore there are only a few steps. I wear this look a lot as it is good for nearly all day  looks.

17 eyeshadow trio: Midnight Storm

I wasn't expecting this eyeshadow to be very good but I was very surprised.
Product
There are no individual names for these eyeshadows but the overall trio is called 'Midnight Storm'. The pigmentation is really good from these eyeshadows. The pictures below have no primer and I only swatched them once. They are also very buildable if you want added intensity. The texture of these eyeshadows is also very soft and smooth. I expected them to be chalky but they are not in any way. There is also no fallout from these shadows which is great. I usually apply these with an eyeshadow brush which makes the application very smooth.
Longevity
I apply this eyeshadow in the morning and will usually get eight hours from the eyeshadow before any creasing occurs. Even when creasing does occur it is easily solved by smoothing out the creasing. I will always apply primer when I wear this eyeshadow.
Packaging
The packaging for this eyeshadow is very simple. It comes in a circular black container with the three compartments that contains the eyeshadow.

Price
It has been some time since I purchased this and therefore cannot remember the exact price. I think that it cost approximately €6.50. They are available from Boots.

Collection 2000 Eye Palette: Angelic

Product
Collection 2000 eye palettes are described as 'containing 9 on-trend, complementary shades in one beautifully packaged pack. Ideal for girls on the go!'. The Angelic palette is also described as being 'nine muted shades that will cater for your day-to-day needs. The bronzes, grey's, pinks and purples are essential shades to take you from dull to delicious, all in one compact pack'. I agree with some of this and some I don't.

The pigmentation from these eyeshadows is good considering the price. The pigmentation was better for the darker colours but was still overall very good. There is also very little fallout, even though there are a few of the more glittery ones that had a little more fallout but still not a ridiculous amount. The texture of these shadows is a little chalky but not overly chalky. When I apply these I will use a primer. I usually apply these dry with an eyeshadow brush.

The statement at the top indicates that these eyeshadows are nine muted colours, I don't fully agree with this. I wouldn't consider oink, blur or yellow muted. It would also depend on the situation during the day that these colours would be suitable for. It does however cover most of the primary colour that you might need. They are a good set of basic colours. The Angelic eye shadow palette contains a deep green, shimmery white, pink, purpley blue colour, navy blue, sky blue, a golden bronze and a brown bronze.

Longevity
There is good longevity from these eyeshadows when worn with an eyeshadow primer. I would usually get between six and eight hours from these eyeshadows before any creasing would occured.

Packaging
The packaging of these eyeshadows is paper and can be flimsy at times. There is a magnet to keep the lid closed. I would say that the packaging design is nice but it is also very retro and almost old fashioned. I have taken this with me when travelling and it has been fine and the eyeshadows haven't spilled everywhere.
Price
I purchased this a while ago so I can't remember the exact price but it was approximately €5. It is available from Boots.

Would I buy this again? Yes. I have used this a lot. I would also like to try the new Smokey eye palette.
