Michael Todd Frosted Eye Shadow: Marshmallow

Product
This is a great matte eyeshadow. It is great for highlighting my eyes and also in the corner of my eyes to open up my eyes if I am wearing a smokey look. It is also very easy to blend and they are not chalky, which I had expected. It is a very wearable colour. I apply these using an eyeshadow brush and they work well with both hard and soft eyeshadow brushes.

Longevity
The longevity from these eyeshadows is good but an eyeshadow primer is needed. If any creasing does occur it is very easily solved. I also usually use this to highlight so creasing isn't very often an issue for me.
Packaging
This eyeshadow came in a nice purple cardboard box. The eyeshadow itself comes in a very hard plastic box with a removable grey insert that holds the eyeshadow. It can also be transferred into a palette.

Price
I purchased this from Love-makeup when they were having a sale on Michael Todd cosmetics. I paid £2.50 or €2.85 for this eyeshadow. They usually cost more.

Would I buy this again? Yes

Makeup Look: Plumtastic

This is another look created with the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I would consider this a good look for day time or if you prefer something neutral. I used mainly the purple and plum colours. Although the colours appear more brown in the pictures for some reason.
How I created this look:

1. I primed my eyes from lid to brow bone.

2. I then applied 'Toasted' on to the entire eyelid. I blended it in to make it appear more natural and soft.
3. Next I applied 'Hustle' to the crease and blended it with 'Toasted'. I wanted the colours to be very blended and very soft.

4. I applied 'Virgin' just above where 'Hustle' ended all the way to my brow bone to highlight the area.
5. I finally applied NYX doll eye mascara to my top and bottom lashes.
I wanted to keep this look very simple therefore there are only a few steps. I wear this look a lot as it is good for nearly all day  looks.

Chilli Pepper London Cream Highlighers

Product
This is a palette that contains four different highlighters. The colours are not named but there is a pink, golden, bronze and nude coloured highlighter. I actually really like these highlighters. They are very smooth and are also very easy to blend so give a very natural glow. There is also good pigmentation from each highlighter cream. I have applied these using my fingers and also with a brush. I find that it is easy to apply using my fingers as it is easier to control the amount of blending I do. I occasionally use a stippling brush which is also good but I prefer using my fingers.

Longevity
These will usually last for a long as my foundation lasts. So there is good longevity from these. They also don't look cakey...if that's a word...after wearing them from some time.

Packaging
I really like the packaging for these highlighters. It is very elegant and chic. The palette is packaged in a hard cardboard style packaging with the design above on the front and back of the box.
Price
I got this as a present for Christmas so don't have a price for this product. I do know that it was purchased in Boots

Would I buy this again? Yes.

Some quick and also some not so quick beauty fixes

Now to the fall accessories, they complete every outfit, so what's in style this fall.

17 eyeshadow trio: Midnight Storm

I wasn't expecting this eyeshadow to be very good but I was very surprised.
Product
There are no individual names for these eyeshadows but the overall trio is called 'Midnight Storm'. The pigmentation is really good from these eyeshadows. The pictures below have no primer and I only swatched them once. They are also very buildable if you want added intensity. The texture of these eyeshadows is also very soft and smooth. I expected them to be chalky but they are not in any way. There is also no fallout from these shadows which is great. I usually apply these with an eyeshadow brush which makes the application very smooth.
Longevity
I apply this eyeshadow in the morning and will usually get eight hours from the eyeshadow before any creasing occurs. Even when creasing does occur it is easily solved by smoothing out the creasing. I will always apply primer when I wear this eyeshadow.
Packaging
The packaging for this eyeshadow is very simple. It comes in a circular black container with the three compartments that contains the eyeshadow.

Price
It has been some time since I purchased this and therefore cannot remember the exact price. I think that it cost approximately €6.50. They are available from Boots.

Would I buy this again? Yes.

5 minute makeup

I just wanted to post on what I usually do when I need to apply make-up in a hurry. I usually spend about 15 minutes applying my make-up but when I have to be in college for 9 or leave quickly in the evening then I have to limit it down to approximately five minutes.
I will start by putting on my moisturiser and then face primer, then I will apply eye primer to my eyelids.

I start by putting on my eyeshadow as it means that if there is any fall out I wont have to redo my foundation.

Then I will apply eye liner and also mascara.

Now I apply the foundation and if I need it I apply concealer. I wont always need concealer and that is why I leave it until I have applied the foundation.
I finish by applying a pressed powder and then my blusher. So that's it. Usually five minutes.

Benefit Full Finish Lipstick: Flirt Alert

Another great lipstick from Benefit!
Product
Benefit Full-Finish Lipstick is described as a 'rich, seductive full-finish lipstick that gives 'coverage and colour.' It is also said to have a 'creamy formula with medium to full coverage'.
This is not a red lipstick for the faint hearted. It is what I would consider a very red lipstick. It is very pigmented and it gives full coverage. The colour intensity from this is really good. It is also very smooth and moisturising. I have used other Benefit lipsticks and had no problem applying directly from the tube, however this one was more difficult. I also didn't want red smeared all over my face. Therefore I used a lip brush to apply it for a more precise application.
Longevity
It is the longevity that make these lipsticks great. I will usually get four to five hours from this lipstick. If I have something to eat it will usually be less but that's to be expected.
Packaging
This Benefit lipstick, like all the others, comes in a black cardboard style box with an insert with a picture on it(as shown above). The lipstick, itself, comes in a very elegant and glamorous black tube with the white Benefit design and logo on it. There is 3.0g or 0.10 ounces of product provided.

Price
I can't remember the exact price of this lipstick as it has been a while since I purchased it. It is available from Dehenhams and also Benefit online.

Would I buy this again? No. Not because I don't like it but because I don't think I will use the full tube of this one.
